A function-specific, “how-to” training for shippers of Lithium Batteries via all modes: highway, rail, air and vessel. This course is designed to guide shippers through the confusing maze of Lithium Battery regulations so that they can more easily identify the correct methods to package, mark and label, and complete the required documentation for the Lithium battery packages they produce.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
•How to use the regulations to identify battery types
• Learn the correct shipping names and UN numbers for each battery
• Identify how/when to use the small battery exceptions
• Identify how to ship large batteries in fully-regulated packages
• Correctly mark and label packages for each mode. An exclusive TMGI training workbook provides illustrations of marks and labels for every situation.
• How to produce the correct shipping papers for each mode.
Note: This course is function-specific to the shipping Lithium Batteries only and is not necessarily designed to cover all aspects of DOT Hazmat training as listed in 172.704.
