Audits

A proactive audit of your hazmat operations to determine your compliance with DOT, FAA, OSHA and/or EPA requirements can help you avoid costly penalties. TMGI’s industry experts can help to identify any problem areas that may exist and assist you with developing resolutions, giving you the opportunity to correct any non-compliance issues before an official inspection uncovers them.

Avoiding regulatory penalties is not the only reason to have TMGI conduct an audit for you – we can often identify areas where you can reduce costs in your current shipping, pollution prevention and/or safety procedures.

A TMGI audit will include:

Document/Record Review
- Depending upon the particular type of audit being conducted, TMGI will review your shipping documentation, analyze your packaging including marking and labeling, training records, registrations, permits, written procedures, compliance agreements, and written security plans to determine site-specific requirements applicable to your facility. Where applicable, state and local regulations (in addition to all federal requirements) are reviewed to ensure nothing is overlooked.

Facility Inspection - A thorough inspection of your facility will be conducted and assessed for compliance with all applicable regulations (federal, state, municipality). Current permits and registrations will be reviewed and analyzed to establish compliance as well as the possible need for anything additional.

Findings Report - The audit report that TMGI provides will detail areas of potential violations and opportunities for non-compliance correction to decrease the risk of fines. If identified, the TMGI audit report will also include suggestions for practices and procedures which, though not necessarily mandatory, are opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency.
